For the past 16 years Bethsaida Home Care Services a division of the Bethany House Group had been a provider of high quality home care specialising in looking after the people of Copeland. Although the Bethany House Group also provide residential care, Joy Ditchburn recognised that most people both young and old, who needed care services would rather have care delivered in their own homes if all possible.
To this end Bethsaida Home Care Services was started and over the years has developed into one of the leading Home Care agencies in the Copeland area. Naomi Hodgson the registered manager of Bethsaida Home Care Services has a very good team of dedicated staff working to provide the best possible care for people in the Copeland area, working very closely with all health care professionals.
The staff who work for Bethsaida both men and women are carefully chosen from many who apply for jobs to work at Bethsaida Home Care Services. Before an applicant is employed at Bethsaida two satisfactory written references are required and an enhanced criminal record check. All carers have or are working towards NVQ level 2, senior staff have NVQ level 3 and some senior carers have their NVQ Assessors award. All staff complete training in Moving and Handling, Medication, Abuse, Food Hygiene, First aid, Fire training and any other specialist training that is required for clients.
